Alliance: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman
Gnome Priest and Human Hunter are the two Alliance combinations framed as “new versus Classic Vanilla.” If you remember vanilla’s hard locks, gnomes did not priest and humans did not hunt. Forever prints both as launch options. They are not timed unlocks and they are not pack-gated the way Skyborne is. You can roll either on a subscription character on 4 November without buying Heroic.
Dwarf Shaman is named on both the official hub and the Deep Dive, which is why it sits in the search title next to Forsaken Paladin. Alliance shaman was a later-expansion idea in modern WoW; on this 1–60 branch it is a first-party Forever combination, not a borrowed Cataclysm memory. The notes do not publish totem lists or a leveling guide for that spec.
Alliance Skyborne Mage is the other Alliance caster lock, but it lives on Zephras and needs Heroic or higher. Do not mix that row into this six-name board. If you want a dwarf that can shaman without buying a pack, Dwarf Shaman is the subscription-legal line. Human Hunter is the same kind of unlock: a Classic-forbidden pair that Forever prints at launch without a store pack.
Alliance players who want new toys without a pack should look at Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, and Dwarf Shaman. Horde players should look at Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, and Forsaken Paladin. Skyborne class locks remain pack-gated on Zephras Isle.
Horde: Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Forsaken Paladin
Orc Mage and Troll Warlock are the Horde pair that Classic vanilla refused. Forever lists them as launch combinations. Troll Warlock is one of the three search phrases on this page because it is a clean, official name with no alias fight.
Undead Paladin versus Forsaken Paladin is the only naming split. Deep Dive says Undead Paladin. Hub and marketing also say Forsaken Paladin. This wiki treats them as one combination: a Horde paladin on the Forsaken / undead racial identity. The search title uses Forsaken Paladin because that is the hub phrasing players actually query.
Horde Skyborne Shaman is again a pack-gated Skyborne lock, not a seventh row here. If you want shaman on Horde without Heroic, you still have orc, troll, and tauren shaman from the classic set; Skyborne Shaman is extra on top of that when you buy the pack. Troll Warlock is the same pattern: a Classic lock Forever lifts at launch, still on a subscription character, still without a Zephras requirement.
Orc Mage is the Horde caster pair Classic vanilla never allowed. It sits on the same 4 November launch list as Troll Warlock and Forsaken Paladin, and it does not wait for a later patch or a Heroic pack receipt.
Class revamps without a fake talent calculator
The hub’s Claim New Power art and the Deep Dive both say class talent revamps for every specialization. That is a real system change. It is not a spreadsheet. No official JSON lists every talent node, so there is no tree to click. Coming here for a sim is the wrong errand; coming here to see whether your favorite race can now be your favorite class is the right one.
Pair this board with systems if you care how alts feel. Legacy is the account-wide reward layer for leveling more than one of these combinations. Two-name identity is how those characters are named on a realmless Azeroth. Visual presets let you play the new combinations on HD or SD models.
Availability for all six rows is launch. There is no “later patch” tag in the sealed records. If a seventh combination appears in a future What’s Next, it should get its own dated note instead of being quietly added as if it had always been here.
Roll with the six launch combinations in mind: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, and Dwarf Shaman on Alliance; Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, and Forsaken Paladin on Horde. Skyborne Shaman and Skyborne Mage stay on the Skyborne page because they need Heroic or higher. Talent revamps apply to every specialization, but the public notes still do not ship a clickable tree.

No. Deep Dive uses Undead Paladin; the hub and marketing also say Forsaken Paladin. Both labels describe the same Horde paladin combination. Undead Paladin stays the record name and Forsaken Paladin stays the search phrasing because that is how the sources actually read.
Are these combinations locked behind the Heroic pack?
The six rows on this board are launch combinations for existing races. They are not the Skyborne gate. Skyborne Shaman and Skyborne Mage are pack-gated on Zephras Isle and live on the Skyborne page. You can roll Dwarf Shaman or Forsaken Paladin on a subscription character.
Will every class have a full talent rewrite?
The Deep Dive and hub say class talent revamps for every specialization. They do not publish the rewritten trees as structured data. This page records the revamp as a fact and stops there instead of cloning a community talent calculator.
